What would be a good level to go and rescue Imoen?
Some say that you should just do all the side quests and then go after
her. But I'd like to save some quests for later, so I can get her some more
exp when u rescue her.
Does anyone have any suggestions and what would be some good quests to save up?

btw, I'm running around with five ppl now, coz I don't want to waste any exp.
My party is: me(Ber/cleric, pretty basic I know, but I just had to try this guy
with FoA and CromFaeyr), Minsc, Keldorn, Jaheira, Jan + eventually Imoen.

No, I don't have it yet. But I've seen ppl talking about it and I just
had to try it out with a char for myself. So I'm not cheating

If you are planning on getting Imoen, then set sail when you are level 12.

You can do Tradesmeet, Copper Coronet, clear out the Graveyard District, rescue Haer' Dalis, Circus Tent and the Renal Bloodscalp's quests.

Leave Umar Hills, Windspear Hills, Limited Wish Quest, Unseeing Eye, Planar Sphere, Temple Sewer Mind Flayers, Twisted Rune.

These are just examples, final decision is yours.

If I'm planning on having Imoen join the party than I set of after her as soon as possible. in that case I only do the D'Arnise Keep, Circus Tent, Renal Bloodscalp's and of course Aran Linvail's quests.
with a full party that would make you about lvl 10; going after her at such low level will make that part of the game a bit harder but not imposible by any means. the bright side of this is though, that when you return with Imoen to finish the rest of your quests, you will be higher level and some encounters will scale up in difficulty - instead of a lonely Gauth you might run into a group of Beholders, a Stone golem might be replaced by a group of Adamantite+Clay/Stone ones etc. it's a little harder, but also means more experience!

Than I think that I'm gonna go right now.
I've just finished Trademeet and was about to go to the Umar Hills.
But I guess I'll go and do Aran and Renals quests now and then go get her back.

Perhaps I'll go and rescue Haer'Dalis and do the PlanarPrison thing first, for
that little exp boost. Just to get everybody at/over lvl 10.

To bad I won't be having the rewards from the WindspearHills when I go on
that journey though.

But I'll survive! Any other advice?

Chapters 4 & 5 are possible at lower levels - just don't expect an easy ride. The main problem with leaving lots of side quests until chapter 6 is that by then they are just too darn easy.

What lvl is Imoen when u get her back anyway?

Do you think I can solve the problem, at least partly, by
the scribing-scrolls-trick?
