Just thought I'd mention that the nature of the Cafe is a fluid one...today you may be in a great conversation for two pages and tomorrow, the people who post completely miss one of your witty comments. It's just how things go in a forum. It's not that anyone deliberately sets out to ignore you. But in 99 of a 100 cases it's more likely they were skimming the thread or just said hi after seeing a few posts they wanted to reply to, never noticing yours or in some cases not having the time to answser if they did. Then they come back and everyone has moved on so they never do answer....it's just the way things move on the forums.
We all live in different time zones and have different schedules. Read, post and try to enjoy what there is as much as possible. But please don't read more into a reply or no reply than there is! Personally, I remember feeling the same way you did, Arion. Yah, I know, nobody believes me NOW, but back in the old days, *I* was the new girl on the board and it was fun and frustrating getting to know people. Heck I used to think lots of people disliked me at first because they either didn't answer my posts or seemed to ignore me most of the time...then I caught on to all the things I mentioned here in the first paragraph and suddenly I wasn't so worried about it....and suddenly it was a LOT more fun... so just hang in there!

*ignores the new girl* LOLOL! Hi Cloudy. How´s work? Did your co-worker show up in time?
Arion, don´t worry about it. IT happens to everyone. When I first migrated into GC I didn´t know many people in here. Then I started to talk to johnny. And of course I bumped in to Calthy in one of the poke threads. Those threads were a great help getting to know some of the people in here. After that I found Attalus hiding in here, and then SomeGuy, Sigmar, Horatio, Kat, Cloudy, Moosey etc. Good morning everyone. How are you today wellard?

Hi arion. It may sound drastic, but have you considered either a change in career or just a change in who you work for so that you could have a more regular schedule? Once you do, you can look for organizations or groups in your area that focus on something you're interested in. It's a great way to meet someone, friends and more. If you could swing it financially, there are a lot of people in there 30s going back to school now, so there's also a good place to meet people with similar interests. I wish you luck, and don't give up, when you least expect it, you'll meet someone! You sound like a sweety, so I have little doubt in that!!

Great advice, harleyquin! There are lots of 'clubs' you could go to for free or small fees that might not only be of interest to you but might help you meet people who have similar interests. Try looking for hobby groups like gardening or book clubs or miniature dragon painters.
Willow, she showed up for a little while yesterday...hehe...she had pulled one of those 'mention it at last minute, so nobody can say no' moves by telling the boss at the close of business on tues that since she planned to come in at noon, I'd have to handle the checks....the old boss would have nodded and said 'of course' but this one...HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA....apparently this one told her that it wasn't very good to mention those things AFTER I'd gone home and the boss couldn't discuss it with me! HAHAHAHAHA! Told her since she didn't know what *I* had to do then she couldn't assume I'd get them and so my colleague would have to pick them up on her way in. Now colleague would have take the whole day off but she had a class at 130, so she shows up at 10:30 instead of noon as she planned and when I asked her why she was early *bat bat of lashes* she growled about having to get the checks and not wanting to 'rush' to class... I wanted to start bellylaughs aplenty at that moment, but refrained....

Hi Cloudy
Coffee and a Donut please darlin - what's that - no Donuts - there seems to be a dearth of Donuts today I was hoping a well credentialed coffee Cafe like yours might have had some. Davros wanders out into the cold dark night, continuing his search for a breakfast pastry

*shakes head* Tsk tsk... tragic if he did fall into the coffee... hmmm, should we send a rescue party? LOL

Good morning, all. Rainy and warm, here. 61 degrees Fahrenheit! And humid! I made the dogs go out and they are looking pitifully into the window of the computer room. Willow, how are the kids? Cloudy, sounds like a case of "Time wounds all heels."
