Larry, I *just* installed this as of yesterday and you are 100% correct. It not only provides protection 24/7 but it has periodic updates as well. Plus it is free!

Thanks for the link. I installed it on my own computer which doesn't get too much spyware anyway, but right now I'm installing it on my dad's. Cleaned it 3 times in a week now, first time 750 programs and a lot of junk, second time 200 and a lot of the same junk + some new and now third, 150 programs and more junk. Wiould be great if it prevents this
