Well *cough cough* yes...but its FANTASY action BIIIIIIG DIFFERENCE in my book.

Otherwise I could just call Shawshank another dumb drama - but its my fav.film of all times though I normally dislike movies about jails and injustices.

I wouldn't call Shawshank dumb in any way, seeing as how it carefully sets up everything of its plot. Now films like (what I get from the trailer) this... They are just full of liberties that go a step beyond "artistic freedom". It is what a film does with its main theme that makes them go beyond the established conventions or what it does to justify them that makes the difference. It is when the trailer quickly juxtaposes parts of different scenes that makes me think "hmm, maybe they're doing this to mask the fact that the action is in fact rather boring". Action is good when it has good suspense, when you see that obviously the hero is invincible, be it for constantly missing or otherwise failing bad guys or other reasons, it lacks this and thus it fails. Starship Troopers or V for Vendetta used their action parts well.

I'm definitely going to see it too. Clash of the Titans was my favourite film when I was 10!

I think it looks good. So I'm guessing the release time is next year? Have to start making a list, got to see the Halo movie as well. I think that comes out in 2011, or something like that.

The video has been removed by YouTube for some kind of violation.
What is this about a remake of Clash of the Titans? That was my favorite too! I have both the DVD and VHS of course.

The original has such epic stop-motion animation, I might go watch it today.

It was Harryhousen that made the the animations for the first classic right?

JRK: I was more reacting to the fact that you jugded and condemned the movie already before watching it - you are obviously well spoken and intelligent so it made me wonder how come you already knew what the movie would be like.
