My game is going ridiculusly slow ive set the requirements to minimum ive had them all the way at the top ive changed reselutions i have up dated drivers defraged and scandicsked and this only happend after i installed diablos expansion and i still have four gigs of space left so that shouldnt be a problem either plz help

Which version of DirectX do you have?
What's the cache size of the game?
Did you do a full install?

try these things:

1) You could be low on memory (not hard drive space, which is completely different). If you have a lot of programs running in the background, it will slow things up. Before you run Baldur's Gate, close as many programs as you can in your system tray (those are the icons by your clock).

2) Look in your startup folder on your start menu, and see if "fast find" is there. If it is, remove it. It is a useless resource hog commonly included with microsoft office.

Well i dont have a memory problem becuase i have 256 megabytes of ram and i have completlty diabled all the startup applications so thats not a problem either im at a loss as to why this would happen

Well before i goto bed i guess i have to bump agian and accord havnt seen u around for a while where you been?

The Diablo expansion may have installed an older DLL or directX driver in its install. W98 - use System Information and Direct X Diagnostic Tool, under Accessories/System Tools/System Information - Tools menu. See if there are any mismatched numbers. Maybe you could reinstall or restore it if they are different...
