In another group, the topic is nasty jobs people have had in the past. Here's one entry...

Not sure if I should issue a drink warning or not... I almost needed one, but not quite. :1spit:

Quote:

I was working as a meat cutter in a small family grocery/butcher shop...a guy comes in and orders a whole pig with head on. No problem you can pick it up on Saturday.

So he walks in the shop Saturday, I look up and say "Oh man I forgot you pig...I am sorry, I will be right back"

I run in the back and me and the other young guy start squealing at 100 decibels, banging steam pots, and smacking the wall.

1 minute later I walk out with the head over my shoulder and the pigs front hooves in my hands. I am bouncing the legs so the head is bobbing up and down in the giant plastic bag. I said "they don't get more fresh than that"

His face turned pure white, I guarantee he had a burger that day.

We laughed about that for months.

I'm just picturing the head bobbing up and down...

That's pretty funny alright. Sounds like the kind of thing that would happen either in my hometown or in my mom's hometown when a newcomer (outsider) comes to town.

Do you know what state it's from? I'm gonna take a wilg guess and say somewhere in the midwest for sure.

Very funny post. I have people with similar senses of humor at work (heck, I'm a leading candidate!), but to discuss them wouldn't be very proper for a family forum like this one.

bah, it's French anyway.

Here's the correct spelling and meaning behind, Maître"]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ma%C3%AEtre_d']Maître d'.

EDIT: no matter how many times I edit this thread, or delete it and repost, I can't get the space between url= and the http://, or maybe it's the space in the link, who knows, but the link won't work. Just copy and paste if you give a crap about the meaning behing Maître d'.
