Sorcerer Spells

I was just wondering what anybody else has as their choice of spells for a sorcerer.

I'm a fan of invocation spells, but I'm not sure what the "best" combinations of spells are for a sorcerer.

It's all a matter of personal preference and gaming style. Most people have spells like Dispel Magic, Lower Resistance, Project Image, Flame Arrow, and almost everyone has the tried and true Magic Missile, Mirror Image, and Stoneskin. Spell Trap and other spells that absorb magic are popular as well. Since sorcs are popular soloing chars, most people who solo as sorcs have Animate Dead, Summon Planetar, Mordy's Sword, Shadow Door, Invisibility, and Improved Invisibility. I myself like Flame Arrow (especially when you get to a really high level and get a bunch of bolts to fire), the Symbol spells and the Power Word spells. Some people prefer spells that boost stats, like Friends and Strength, as well as blessing and immunity spells, like Mantle, Protection from Magic Weapons, and Resist Fear. Some are partial to area of effect spells like Grease, Web, Stinking Cloud, Cloudkill, and Horrid Wilting. The possibilities are limitless. It all depends on your playing style. You said yourself that you like evocation spells, so I'll wager you have Flame Arrow, Fireball, Magic Missile, Cone of Cold, and the more common spells that I mentioned above.

That's one of the best things about sorcs.. No two are truly the same. They're a reflection of the preferences and skill of the player.
