Hmmmm... I'm 18. Which thread do I belong in. Technically I am both a teenager and an adult. I guess I qualify to appear in both of these.

Ummm...Forgive my ignorance - but what's an "op-yop"?

I've never heard of op-yops, hopping hoomdorm or Lemon Twist!
I feel so deprived!
I did have jacks though! Pretty colored shiny ones.
I like colored shiny things, they are pretty!

Well, the op-yop thing was kinda odd. The Hopping Hoomdorm, though is SCARY (ooooh!). It looks like a large mechanical "cave cricket" (at least, that's what we call them in the southeastern US - I don't know what they are really called). It had an air pump and you'd pump it a few times to push air into the "body" chamber, then you flip a switch that lets the air out in little bursts and it makes cogs move and all this neat stuff and it makes it hop around! The Lemom Twist was a large plastic lemon filled with beads or something (it rattles) on the end of a black piece of rubber tubing. The other end of the tubing is a round loop that you put on one ankle. Then, you make a move with that leg like you have a hoola hoop on your ankle and jump over the lemon with your other foot. Kind of a weird cross between jump rope and hoola hoop, but it kept me busy for HOURS! No wonder my parents got it for me!

Oh hey! I had a Lemon Twist! Golly I had forgotten all about that until you just described it!

They were all over on the playground when I was about ten. I remember me and my best friend "competing" to see who could go the longest LOL...I don't remember who had the most stamina between us though.

I still don't remember the hopping hoomdorm or the op-yops though! I must have been to busy with other amusing time-wasters.
