Well, the stoppage is primarily in the main 2" pipe that takes in both sinks and the tub. They connect at a joint, then flow into the 4" pipe under that. I am betting the blockage is in that connection where the smaller pipe join before going down into the big one. I was able to remove a plug at one end of the 2" pipe and removed alot of demonic evil darkness. Looking into the pipe, I see that the bottom half of the entire pipe has a black matter buildup, with the consistancy of charcoal.

I had an estimate from a guy that would replace all those galvanized pipes. $1,175.00. Screw that. I'll do it myself.

Yeah galvanised pipes SUCK!!! but there better then the cast ones I have in my house although I did have some galvanised in ther that I removed and replaced with PVC one's. Just becareful on the sizing and if they dont butt up properly make sure you can get one of those rubber reinforced couplers that can be hose clamped to the off sized pipe for proper seal.

Good luck bud

Well...I just did in ten minutes for free what I asked a plumber to come do that wanted a shitoad of money. I will eventually get the pipes replaced this summer when my father-in-law comes to live for a month with us before moving on to Argentina. He has done the work before. But for now, I just needed the drain to work. I got one of those rubber extensions that balloon up and forece the water in the right direction. I did not think it would work, because of the connecting kitchen sink drainage...but it did, because I was able to get under the house and get near the stopped drain via a plug that was nearby. The drain now operates. I saved myself alot of money. What's even more funny....when I asked the plumber to do exactly that...he said it would not work! That lying ass.

To be a plumber you need to know only two things: Poop flows downhill and payday is friday.
