I want to play a Paladin, but the portraits offered by BG2 suck, I would like to use a portrait from IWD but dont know how to extract one. Any help or tips would be helpfull...And yes I looked through the portraits here at Ironwork and didn't see any good ones for a Paladin

You can easily use IWD portraits - just move them into your BG2 portraits directory and you should be set.

Wellcome to the forum and please tell me how....IWD doesn't have a portrait folder and the portraits it does have are contained in a *.dll type data.

i have the solution to your problem.
i do believe that icewind dale portraits are formatted a little differently from BG ones (different dimensions or something.) here is a site where you can download a zip file of ALL the IWD portraits specifically formatted for BGI + II... http://havak.db-forge.com/extra.php?eset=iwd i was ecstatic upon finding this, because i think the icewind portraits are far far cooler than any of the BG ones. they're just darker and more badass. ya dig? |
