Tonight, in my small local pub in Enfield, on the outskirts of London, after the Arsenal match I had a drink with your Uncle Peter from Germany.

What are the chances of that happening?

Wow, what are the odds!

Kind of odd that you made the connection. Do you talk about Melusine often?

All the time!

Mel's cousin Moritz Volz is a professional footballer who plays for Arsenal. I was introduced to his father and he mentioned he was Moritz's father & I made the connection. People in the pub were astounded at the coincidence.

Moritz bought his flat in Enfield from a guy I used to drink with.

Moritz lives just up the road from the pub. Your uncle was quite taken aback when I asked him if he had a niece in Amsterdam. He was actually sitting about ten rows behind me at the football match. Pretty close when you think there were 38,000 people there. Apparently he has been to my pub a few times.

He told me about the confusion caused when he and your father travelled together. Same surname, same place of birth, one with a German passport and one with a Dutch passport!
