Well I worked in England for about 4 months many many moons ago. I for one thought the people were great.

They are great. I lived there for a year and loved the people more than my own countrymen. The neighbours were actually nice people as opposed to where I lived at the time lol. Alot more easy-going generally though, polite, friendly.

Superiority in what? I missed the rugby finals, is it over yet? Surely you can't be talking about England's achievements on the footballpitch? You guys suck almost just as much as us now.

I'm serious about the reasoning behind the outcome of this poll though, my experiences with British people were and still are always excellent, they drink, they are loud, they love football....my kind of people.

Seriously I can not understand why Americans (USA variety) have such a low opinion of themselves. Just because the whole world and it's dog hates that idiot you have as leader and shakes it's head in wonder when you go around shooting each other, we know that is not a true reflection of who you are as a people.

On an individual level I have never met face to face an American that was not well mannered and unfailingly polite. and the same goes for everyone I know. People have an ability to see beyond the almost cartoon image the press portrays.
