What does lore depend on ?

High all,
just wonder what gives my charachter higher lore

base lore is determined by your class, inteligence and wisdom. than lore increases as you level up, depending on your class. I'm not sure of exact figures but I think it goes somethin like this: bards get an increase of 10 at level-up, wizards and thiefs 3 and the rest of the classes 1.

I noticed that no matter what minsc always has a lore of zero.

It may just be me but the PC always seems to have a slightly higher lore than he/she should as well.

Any thoughts?

is depends also what the wisdom and intelegense is

Minsc's problem is probably his bad wisdom and intelligence. just as there is a lore bonus for high wis/int there is a lore penalty if those stats are low.

besides, Minsc has most probably never concerned himself with the lore of histories and magical items.

also, i seem to remember running across an item or two that gave increases to lore but I don't remember what they were and for all I know they could have been in BGI.
