Are there any helmets, bracers, leggings, boots, and hoods that an oomphaz can wear? I can't seem to find any and its my fourth time beating the game. I have blessed his body armour but he pales in comparison to the rest of my character's ac. Also does anyone know if there is a sequil planned?

The only Oomphaz item I found was the Body Armor. Robes of any kind can fit them, and might be better if blessed to the hilt with Artifact of Stone, I believe, though I've not had the opportunity 'cause I don't have an Oomphaz in my 1st group, and my 2nd group WITH an Oomphaz hasn't gotten that far yet.

There's nothing definite on the sequel. DW Would like to, but he's on another project that will take some time. Ditto for new patches or add ons.

There isn't much oomphaz armour. Throughout the entire game (i have madet to the end never beat though)I found 1 leather chest, 1 leather pants, 1 chain Shirt, and 3 plate mail shirts. This is why Oomphaz arent very good. they have bad accuracy, little armour, and die pretty fast. I didnt pick one after my test run arund the graveyard area with one I disposed of him. I find that Lizzords are good for many classes. I perfer making- Lizzord-warrior-barbarion Whiska-warrior-ranger ratling-theifassassin(kinda annoying to get) Dwarf-preist-paladin Human-wizard-bard human-preist-warlock. I find that the best team or all Lizzords works well too.

I have a soft spot for oomphaz because they make good priests and wizards what with their mana seed trait. I think they get more hit points tahn most other races too to make up for the inability to wear armour.

Regarding armour, I found several pieces of oompaz leather armour around Ishad N'Ha and then when you reach Brimloch Roon, there are quite a few the oomphaz chain and plates around (especially around the isle of sands).. If the oomphaz uses the lamp, he can also get a special piece of oomphaz chain which is comparable to your blessed armour...

Other parts of body armour such as leggings, boots and gauntlets are really really rare.. I've gone through three times and can only recall a few pieces. I have had my oomphaz walking around with the ghastly looking underwater helm, (which gives an extra 1.6 AC) and heck- it's not as if it makes my oomphaz any less comely..

HAHA! Young One, I can only imagine what an Oomphaz looks like with one of those breathers on! My Wiskah, Lizzord, and either my Pixie or Ratling have WAY oversized underwater helmets making them look completely ludicrous. The only headgear that's worse is the Greathelm. Nice armor, but looked SOOO bad on certain char's, that I only have my Ratling wear it 'cause it's not way oversized on him. Gourks, however, look fantastic with the Greathelm on.

I wasn't sure there was any more armour for the oomphaz, The young one, where did you find the few items you found. Also, I found a temporary solution in keeping ardibrens keepsake and it can be blessed and enchanted. My oomphaz zenmaster, with enlightenment was able to give it a plus 13 armour.

Howdy folks,

I am playing through the game a second time (hush Wyv and Saz), and I have a party of 4 with the classes I didn't have before.

Oomphaaz, Gourk, Lizzord and Ratling.

Don't underestimate the Oomphaaz, they have the highest carrying capacity in the game. Just use the Amulet of Silence/Holding when you are a Wizard or Warlock and get their strength up to 24. My female Oomphaaz can carry 403 pounds of treasure, which is almost as much as the rest of the party combined.

She did tend to get hit a lot early on, and their AC is poor for the first part of the game. She currently has an enchanted Oomphaaz War Plate +2 with +12 armor at it gives 9.60 AC (I snuck over to Brimloch Roon to get the good armor). Her overall rating as a Samurai is about 22 right now, and she has every spell of the game since I went from Wizard (Stone, Sun), Paladin (Spirit), Ranger (Vine), Ninja (Moon, Warlock (Fiend and others missed), then Samurai to wrap up Sun.

I'm thinking now to make her a Barbarian to get the high hit points, since being a Ninja gave her very high hit, parry and speed.

Having Mana Seed makes her magic unstoppable, and I've found her hit points are extremely high, so as a Barbarian or Paladin, an Oomphaaz can take a beating.

I havent found any other armor pieces, but I'm only about half way through the game so I'll post if and when I do.

My take, they are great characters! Give them a try, my character (Lady Mammoth) is a force to be reckoned with.

argh I guess going with an Oomphaz paladin was not the right way to go hehe as I still don't have any armor for her except robes.

oh well it's too late for me now. She's 11th priest and still trying to find an altar to pray on to finish the pally quest.

u can easily find the altar to pray at the north western side of the map on Valeia's side, before u enter the tunnel where u'll encounter the mysterious oracles......
i made my oomphaz my main healer (SHE is now a paladin) and lucky for me, i managed to find an oomphaz plate or watever metal armour for her, but only after i went across Ishad'Na, as it can be quite a burden to find those blasted oomphaz armour . however, i still cant believe they still give me oompahz LEATHER ARMOUR AFTER i went across brimloch roon!!! at that time i already had oomphaz metal armour and basic boots (leather boots i tink...) and helmet? i tink i haf none on.......
but something occured to me. i tink an oomphaz can equip more things when he/she is in the paladin class or barbarian class, although i havent tried the barbarian class on an OOMPHAZ yet.....
