You must learn to control your feelings. Calm down.

3:ed high level is on it´s way but probably not until next year. First they are working to make a special book for each class with new feats and prestige classes.

There are also some re-writing some oldies and goldies adventures to the 3:ed. For example, Temple of elemental evil..

In the ADoD 2:nd edition I wasn´t aware you could play a monk at all.. Seemed they had same troubles as with druids, to fight the highest before leveling up to 11:th level..

After level 20 in 3E you can dual to another class and gain up to 10 more levels. Prestige classes are pretty niffty though. An Arcane Archer would be wonderful in BG/IWD/BG2

There is no real level limit. So far, the class handbooks include the Fighter one (a friend of mine has this), Defencders of the Faith (Clerics/Paladins - I have that one). To come out are Rogues, Mages and Barbarians
.
I think they figured nobody would GET to such a level for 1-2 years, hence the wait for the high-level book

Yes you do rise quickly in 3E, I have an 16th level Warrior who I restarted at 1st level when the official rule books came out. While Playtesting I had him up to 8th level fairly fast.
