December 2, 2004: Wiz8CombatStats spreadsheet makes its first public release! Already at Version 1.60, it is now available for download, go to http://wiz8.web1000.com for all the details (look in the 'Downloads' section).

The purpose of this spreadsheet is to provide an estimate for each character of the number of battles your adventuring party need to complete to gain their next character level. This estimate is based on the average of the last 30 battles, so as you enter your combat stats, the older battles (and generally lower XP earnings) drop out of the average.

For those of you who unfortunately get re-directed to a pay-for-surveys site (seems to mainly effect people in Eastern Europe), this is caused by something beyond my control, I do have a European mirror, but I have lost the ability to update it. Stay tuned, I am investigating a number of options, and hope to post some news soon.

Feel free to cut-n-paste this message to as many other Wiz8 boards as you visit to inform as many Wiz8 fans as we can.

Regards,
- Wolfie

I must say I am impressed with your new spreadsheet. Truely you and others here have invested a whole lot of time on this game of games. Thanks, Wolfie! You have a good grasp of graphics, too. I wonder if some of you ike Flamestryke and others could make decent money on Web design. You probably have thought of that already. Much appreciated. Zig

Well thank you, always like to get feedback, be it good or bad, it at least means my efforts have been looked at / thought about.

"make money"!!! ROFL Gee, that would be nice! The site costs me money, not make it, and estimate I've probably put about 150 (unpaid) hours in total on the two (released) spreadsheets, heaven only knows how much time on maintaining the web site. Flamestrykes the web-girl, me, I'm just learning my way as I go. My web site started simply as a way to distribute the Wiz8SA, and then as I learnt more, I wanted to achieve more, and so it took on an organic life of it's own (who says an old dog can't learn new tricks!). When I look at Flame's site, I sometimes wonder how she has time for anything else! (You know, those annoying things like making a living, eating, sleeping etc).

Anyway, glad you find the 'sheet useful, enjoy!

I've spoken to Wolfie about this on the VN Boards, I'm in Sheffield.

There's not much he can do at the moment about letting us access it but he is trying to get something organised.

I am pleased to announce there is now a complete mirror site available which looks and contains all the same content as the primary web site.

Point your web browsers to http://www.foerster.cc/wolfie

(Any reference to "wiz8.web1000.com" can be replaced with "www.foerster.cc/wolfie").

If you have any problems accessing the site, please let me know via a PM (private message).

I would like to thank all those that helped make this happen (including Flamestyke, thanks for the offer, but was looking for a way to host the entire site, not just this one file).
