Default HD Version of Baldur's Gate?

http://www.joystiq.com/2012/02/29/re...-franchise-pr/

Quote:
What's going on at BaldursGate.com? We're not 100 percent sure, honestly, but it sure looks like a teaser site for some form of new entry in the BioWare franchise. And Game Banshee seems to know more, claiming to have solidified news that the site was put together by former BioWare designer Trent Oster and his cohorts at Beamdog. "We're not related to the Steam Complete Edition," Oster said, referring to a recently discovered Baldur's Gate Complete Edition. "I can tell you that much. Other than that, we're hoping to announce something soon."

What that "something" is remains to be seen, but from the various Baldur's Gate accoutrement on the teaser site, it sure looks like a Baldur's Gate something is in the works over at Beamdog. Considering that Beamdog handled the HD port of BioWare's MDK 2, it stands to reason that an HD port of Baldur's Gate could be in the works. Regardless, we've yet to find out for sure.
I know that gave me an excited face.

Hey, they checked that web page's source-code, and found a hidden poem:

----------------------
An adorable little poem was also found in the site's source code, which we've dropped after the break. And hey, do us a quick solid -- if you're way into the Baldur's Gate franchise and spot something especially notable on that site, don't hesitate to shoot us a note.

"Shadowy Figure- Raise Dead : Infinity Engine
For years, I clung to the memory of it. Then the memory of the memory.
And then... it returned. Better than it was before.
Pore over the tapestries and works of art hanging from our walls if you wish, Child of Bhaal... perhaps you will find a clue. But patience, ah... patience would reveal it all.
As the silver moon waxes and wanes, so too does life."
-----------------

Muhahaha it gives me goosebumps.. hehehe..

They just changed the code and added:

"Take heart fellow adventurers, for you have curried the favor of Boo, the only miniature giant space hamster in the Realm!"

LOL!!!! Awesome.

New code at the bottom: "I can teach you how to use your wrath".

I had only recently discovered GemRB but I have been relying on IESDP (Infinity Engine Structures Description Project) for quite some time.

It was only a year-and-a-half ago when Noty first got interested in IWD2 and played it through (including discovering that one of the premade parties cannot finish the game as designed!), moved on to Neverwinter Nights, and then to SoA/ToB. Her interest got me interested in them again (I still have only a little of ToB to finish).

One of the premade parties for IWD2 is comprised of all females--a drow, a svirneblin, a half-orc, two gnomes, and a half-elf. In Dragon's Eye, there is one point where you have had to create a sabotaged histachii brew to enter a room and trip the switch that will open the final room on the level. This potion is usable only by humans--the premade party has none, making the game impossible to finish.

Thanks. You learn something new every day (and I thought I knew everything there is to know about IE games).
