I started by coloring a rough shape, and then softening the edges and adding shadings and highlights (& stuff).

I think it´s in a way easier than pencilling it first; you can always touch up any mistakes made.
With pencil first, your in a way stuck with your drawing skills. [img]tongue.gif[/img]

Nice pictures you got there! Those photoshopped ones are nice, and your second last pencil drawing reminds me of imoen for some reason.
