As well you know, Intelligence modifier gives you bonus spells if you're a mage or sorcerer.
I wonder if it gives also bonus spells for bards? I created 2 bards, one with 12 INT and the other 18, there was no difference between them, 3 spells 1st level, 3 spells 2nd level, 1 spell 3rd level.

Does INT effects Bards? If yes, how?

A tender touch from the heart may heal the wounds of my friends..
Or a song from the heart..
A duet with nymphs..
Forget 'bout nymphs, let's play KISS!!"

INT does *not* give bonus spells for mages and sorcerors - it only affects the chance of their learning the spells in the first place and the maximum number that they may normally learn.

In AD&D it gives bonus spells to clerics etc.
I have my player's handbook right here

And Bg2 uses Ad&d rules.

To clerics, yes, but you said mages and sorcerors. BTW, 3rd edition D&D gives bonus spells for high INT, but 2nd edition (which BG2 utilizes) does not.

Yes, 3rd edition gives but 2rd edition does not. You're right, I'm right. We came to an agreement

I thought that it was wisdom that gave bonus priest spells, not intelligence?
