Actually, invoking is based on your current class, not your former one. So if you can equip a special ring, you can invoke it.
Amulets of strength and holding get you +1 str. Ring of Mariin gets you +1 int. Divine Sigil gets you +1 spi. I'm sure there are others which are in the Best Tips thread. ** Forgot one! Invoke the assassin's dagger, you get +1 to your deathstrike skill. Nice to have for the average dungeon traveler ** There's also the cheese move available: invoke a ring or amulet, sell it, and buy it back. You can now invoke it again.
