hey!

i'm posting this message on this forum as well as on the other forums concerned. i loved bg2 and iwd1. will start iwd2 shortly. i've also tried my hand at bg1 but that will have to wait. are there any other games similar to the ones mentioned above that i can consider to purchase. i hear nwn needs quite a bit of ram compared to bg and the like. is this true or can i consider it too? apart from how and totlm, what are the other good expansions. What about totsc?

thanks.

You could try Planescape:Torment I have heard it's great! Although I haven't played it due to not being able to find it in a shop. It uses the BG engine and is susposed to have a great story and dialog.

BG1 is great, play it as soon as you can although knowing the story(about what the PC character is) will spoil things a bit.

I can vouch that Planescape:Torment is a great game. I wont get into the storyline much due to it being filled with cool plot twists, but it is rich with dialogue and action. You could say it is almost like reading a good book and playing a game at the same time. It can be found easily off of Ebay.

Well, I'm fine with 382 MB of RAM, and the minimum is only 256MB.

If you let us have your system specs I should be able to give you a rough idea of how NWN will play. NWN with all the expansions and premium modules is amazing - then there's the multiplayer aspect...

Here's another vote for Planescape Torment. Graphically, it's very impressive, great artwork indeed and is still considered by many to be one of the greatest RPG's ever made.

thanks for the response guys!

i'll be watching out for these titles. i have the manual for nwn and somehow the storyline did not seem great compared to bg. but i hope to try it out some time.

thanks once again!

The official campaign for NWN isn't a patch on the BG2 storyline, but the Shadows of Undrentide expansion (low-mid level characters), Hordes of the Underdark expansion (epic characters) and countless mods out there and a huge community is what makes NWN one of the best games ever .
