I know this might not be important to Ironworks, but I just have to tell everyone because I'm so happy about it
At the beginning of May this year I found out that I had gall stones and infected gall bladder, it may not seem life threatening but it was. Anyways the doctor told me that I don't get my opperation in 18 months then I might pass on.
You see in Australia there is a government health system and a private health system, with the private health system you get the opperation straight away and you have to pay for it, with the government health system you go on a waiting list and don't have to pay for the opperation.
So in May I was put on the list, and today I got a phone call from the hospital to see a specialist about my gall bladder, and that means I'll be getting my opperation very soon!!! Yippee for me!!!!

Hey that IS great news, I would hate to see/hear of a fellow IronWorker passing on, especially if they are Australian So good luck with the specialist and tell us when the operation is

Ouch, my sister just had her gall bladder removed -- it wasn't cool, but compared to some surgeries it wasn't overly bad.

She's only got two tiny scars from it, too; apparently they put a little camera in one hole & squished / pulled the thing out through the other!
