Right, I need me a new game, but not an RPG! *shock horror* I'm after something of Commandos style, or maybe an Age of Empires style game. You know anything decent?

Well if you enjoyed Civ, then i would recommend Rome Total War. Its the next installment of the Total War Series and sadly comes out in Mid September (speculated dates of 14th and 22th). It links together the great aspects of diplomacy, empire building and the Real time battles so you can use your troops to your best advantage.

Empire Earth is mediocre fun.
Quake III is very fun, and good graphics for a game made in 2000. Plus, by now, it is cheap to buy. |

Try an older game called Praetorians. It's from the makers of 'Commandos'. You have to lead roman legions to victory.. which requires more then simple rush tactics.
