I heard lots of good things about this game when it first came out but never got around to playing it. Any thoughts on whether it would still be fun, or would it seem really dated? BTW, I've been playing Baldur's Gate for a long time without minding the old graphics/engine.

Thanks a lot.

It's still fun. You won't mind the graphics at all. The only thing about the interface I wasn't too fond of was the radial menu, and the game ended too quickly like all good ones do, but otherwise not a bad word said about it.

Torment is basically the same engine as the Baldur's Gate games, but it has its own style. I think you'll have a lot of fun with it, and the Planescape setting is definately a unique one.

Good Luck finding it for a worthwhile price though.

For a worthwhile price? I say good luck finding a fresh copy at all, I've been looking for one for over a year but the whole of Europe is dry.

Well I've never come across a copy myself physically. But amazon were selling it for about £40 (About 55 euros) last time I checked. I've never had the luck

Yet again, I'm happy I saw this game hidden away at the bottom of a shelf in a gamestore one fateful day and thought "Never heard of it before, but what the heck." It was cheap too.

It IS a good game, but it's completely story-driven and heavy on dialogue. There are few battles in the early parts of the game.

There are usually a few good auctions knocking around on eBay. Most of them start with a starting bid of £0.99/$0.99, so not too bad.
