Upset The Oasis

I got a PM from Nachtrafe to visit the above forum. I went there by way of the link in his/her sig. I clicked on some of the links in there, but there's nothing. No forum that I could see; no game info. There was an annoying back round, which really needs to be changed.

I thought I would mention it, since SW asked about it, in the "ground zero mosque" thread.

IMO, most forums offer about the same thing. A place to go and talk about issues, news, media (games, movies, books, etc.). Different forums will focus on specific topics with other topics just being sideline issues.

What it really breaks down to, for me, is the opportunity to interact with a different crowd of people. Also, if you find you just can't put up with some people's views and are unable to just ignore them (there are people that just can't ignore what they don't like, I have this issue at times) there are other options and places to go.

Thanks for that!
It just seemed like it's mostly people from here, over there?

Well, from what I can see now that I have looked, there's more drama which can be fun. But there seem to be quite a few pissed people there too. Guess it's like any other forum, you win some you lose some people. I did notice there are many names there I used to see on IW. Interesting. Who owns Oasis?

I believe Cloudbringer is the owner.

There is no drama there, except the drama that people bring with them. Neither are there any "pissed" people over there, unless someone brings a pissy attitude with them.

As I said, pretty much the same as with any forum. All kinds of people, some of them bring baggage, others don't. But I imagine when SW was talking about drama and pissed people he was referring to the forum section pretty much dedicated to rants (at least that's how I interpereted the description). I could be wrong about SW's angle though.

P.S. There's drama in all human interaction, even at the office. It's not always on the surface, but it's always there.

Correct, thank you. I wasn't bitching about it, in fact, was saying how it looked fun/interesting. I did see some pissed people there. Not sure why Azred says there are none or if he's just being funny. There are pissed people here too. No biggie.
