Try the Swashbuckler/Mage.

Swashbuckle your way to level 11 and than dual to mage.

Another fun one is Swashbuckler/Fighter. Put 4 slots in Katana
and a Celestial Fury in each hand and watch the giblets fly.

Lots of attacks... 4 per round. ( I'm at level 15 )
Armor class of -10 to -12 easily achievable. ( while double wielding ! )
THACO -7 -5

Armor doesn't seem to have any affect of the important thieving skills
...find trap/set trap/pick lock-pocket so you can wear full plate.

Why? (I've never tried to play a Monk)

Monk is a relatively more powerful class than other general classes, at least before the patch is available. The patch tuned down alot of his abilities.

Swashbuckler's thaco is low than Fighter right? (is yes, is it a huge difference or not?)

I'm thinking about to try a cleric/mage/thief multi class

I know you're planning a solo career but also you have 2 people funny pary alternatives!!

Here we go!

First,
Ladies and Ladies! We got a honeymoon kit for you in this kit, you will share your amazing adventures with a holy and charming and kind (and stupid) man: Anomen. He's a great cleric and also a fighter. With Crom Faeyr and Flail Of Ages in his hands he will protect you! And you can be a sexy thief/mage. (Why all the thief/mages are female??!)

This party was for female characters and here we go if you like family relationships we got a brother-sister party yeahh you and Imo!

Imoen got the mage and thief part
You got the fighting and clerical things

More??
There's lots of! But nothing like solo I agree but also 2 people parties are also funny
