I have just handed out a Darwin award, to my self.

Ok so we have this dog, he is great, but he tends to chase cars alot, and has already been hit once. Luckly he just suffered a broken leg. So anyway, he lives both inside and outside, he usally sleeps inside, but he stays the majority of the day outside.

So my sister tells me, bring Bon (thats his name) in before you go to bed, I said, isnt he already in? She replies, no we let him back out. Ok, well I am not going to go to bed for a while still so I will let him in later.

So about an hour ago I go out side, about 30 degrees F, and whislte, but he doent come to me, so I wait a little while longer, still nothing. Ah well he is probably in the feild chasing cows or some such, so I will come back later. So I go outside about 45 minitues later, and whistle still nothing. So I am getting a bit worried now. I go get the flash light, check through the barn, not there.

So I go to the road and flash the light around, dont see him. So I start walking down the road about 30 feet, and dont see him, walk down the other way, in 30 degree weather! Still nothing.

So I whislte so more and wait a bit longer. Nothing, well, not much I can do at this point, wait till morning and see if he comes back I guess. So I go back inside, low and behold there is is sleeping in the living room floor.

Always check inside before resorting to the cold outdoors!

It's the number one rule of keeping a pet that can walk.

He was probably laughing at you the whole time.

:Bon shakes his head: “silly humans”.
