Gesen Bow

Shadow keeper works perfect. I used it for the exact same reason. I was overloaded when the scene cuts. (I lost Balduran's Helmet) You simply run the Shadow Keeper program, then load the save game of your choice. You can place any item in the game in your inventory. The program does not overwrite any existing files.

I have lost the Gesen shaft on the ship leaving the island of the Asylum due to overloaded inventory when the pirate gave me Irenicus' sword. I cannot go back to pick up the shaft. Does this mean that I will not be able to make the Gesen bow throughout the whole game, or is there a way to get the shaft or the bow?

Well, I think you can return later on, in chapter 6. (At least the areas are marked on the map, but I havn't tried to go there... can't see why they would be there if you couldn't go there though). Can't say whether the shaft still lies there though, I know at least some places resets if you leave. However, you can get it with ShadowKeeper. I wouldn't consider it cheating, since you've found the bow the real way once.

And how does this thing with the Shadowkeeper work? I do not want to spoil my game with cheating but in case the shaft will not be there?

I'm afraid you can't go back to the island since you have no ship so if you don't want to cheat wait till you find the bow string and are back at cromwel's use createItem("bow19") and drop 7500 (cost of forging the bow) or give a charitable donation to a church, I don't feel that it is cheating if you have found the items and have paid for it. You shouldn't have to suffer at the expense of a gaming error.
