God, I've lived here since 1989, and never has this happened--being hit over and over by hurricanes like this, and in a FIVE WEEK PERIOD!

And it's gonna go over our COUNTY again. 3 of the Hurricanes have gone over our county where we are (Lucky, we had no damage at all) but what they hell are the odds of THAT?! 1 in a billion?!

Anyway, expect power to maybe go out somewhere between Sunday 12PM EST -5GMT through Monday. We lucked out last time and our power didn't even go out, so if we are down, you know the power is out.

If we get anymore, we are leaving Florida. This is crazy. Moving back to Louisville, Ky damnit!

hope that 1 in a billion chance happens Z, must be really annoying (understatement) with all the hurricanes hitting you right left and centre.

Hope this is the last one, for your sake and mine, Florida is the holiday for my family this year (december).

if you wait long enough you won't have to move back to Louisville. one of the storms will pick you up and take you house & all and drop you there.
I think I'd rather use a moving Van company but, you southern dudes are a tough bunch and perfur doing things the hard way .

Na, most Florida homes don't have basements due to sand and digging 8 feet you hit water.. Homes that DO have to seal the blocks well.

We are in the direct middle of the state, so we usually just watch the wind and rain at the window. No real damage except trees down, and stuff.. It's crazy though.. the 3rd one going over our county.. GRRR! Choc casts bless, and protection spells on the area.

I feel for you. I'm on the East Coast too, just farther up. We ususally get all those hurricanes here as tropical storms, nothing to worry about (what's a bit of rain, eh?) But last year Juan, instead of losing strength upon hitting land, decided to pick up speed and tore through here like a Cat 3 - first time in years, and no one was prepared ("We get the tail-end of hurricanes here all the time!"). Right across the friggin middle of the city. We're still cleaning up after that mess

Hang in, grab something solid, and remember:

YOU CHOSE TO LIVE THERE!

YEEEHA!

Howdy Z,glad to see you made it through another hurricane. We had to ride it out in the open sea as they closed off the port of Tampa until the storm got finished.I'm glad to be back on dry land.
