I sincerely apologise for this incredibly stupid topic, but I wonder what you guys will come up with
I'm getting a hamster for my birthday and need a nice name...probably I will go with a name of my own in the end anyway but I'm eager to hear what some of the Forum's more witty members will think up

Not a stupid topic at all, Melusine! I like it! teehee

I already gave you these: Hamlet, Hammie
How about: Horace, (Boo is out, I know! ), Ralph, Mickey..(well he's a RODENT too! ), Lucius Hamstericus, Minnie (rodents come in feminine form too..haha!), Rinaldo, Hamleticus the Mighty, *guffaw*, Goldie...

Uh, I need to go back to work for a bit, now! Good luck finding the right name.

I love hamsters. I had two once and I called them Milo and Otis. They were so cute.

thanks guys......
but I mentioned in Cloudy's CHOC thread: No Boo and Minsc Jokes please!
So you'll have to come up with anything better than that.
Oh, and I'd like names that I can abbreviate and that sound a bit nice, so not AGHTSYRGZZRT THE HORRIBLE AND MONSTROUS DEMON-EATING HAMSTER FROM HELL

Just to be on the safe side, if there is any chance that he is likely to meet his end by being squashed by something,I would name him "Dutch" (as in hamster jam).
