I haven't been paying much attention to the news lately because I'm sick of hearing all the depressing and violent news about SARS, the war, the Peterson case, the economy, the Middle East and on and on, so I'm not clear on everything with the new taxes. I know I should and usually I do, but I'm feeling like I'm on news overload, so I'm taking a break.
I think I heard somewhere along the line that this tax is retroactive to Jan 1st. Is that true? If so, is the next paycheck supposed to be where we see that retroactive tax or is it somewhere further down the line?
Yes, I can't just wait until I get my paycheck tomorrow, I need to know now!!!

Harley, my company said we would see the difference in our paychecks starting June 6th...the retro-active thing means your 1st paycheck after that would be extra big..then settle down to the new normal levels.

Good link TL From the way it looks, everyone will actualy see some gain...of course some more than others and those who pay the most see the most change....or so it appears. It seems fair to me too.
