Please Be Straight with me
I've got a question, and i want you to be straight with me.
I was supposed to go to Basic Training, but yesterday i fell and totally trashed my knee. Now they wont let me go until next time around. I told my girlfriend, and her only response was. "You were supposed to be gone all summer! Im still going to Warped Tour!" Is that suspicious?

well I wouldn't say it is suspicious. Partially because if you like music, warped tour is a big deal. Esp since you guys are out of state, takes lots of planning (hotel etc). She was going to be going anyways, so really there's nothing suspicious. It was already planned that she'd go.
Then again if she totally ignored your injury and just said that. Then it is a bit suspicious, and really mean. :/ Because one wouldn't usually totally ignore injuries especially if that person is claiming to be your girlfriend.

Well, not knowing your girlfriend, I can't really attest to her character. However, all it sounds like to me (at face value) is that she's saying don't expect her to change her plans and play nurse for you.

Howdy DA,
she could perhaps have been a little bit more diplomatic about it. The tour doesn't start until the 26th, so there's still a bit of time before she heads off. Her trip may have taken a fair bit of organizing, depending on which venue(s) she'll be attending. Wanting to go to Warped Tour is not suspicious. A lot of planning would have been put into that.
However, was she at all sympathetic about your knee? If she was, then you have no need to worry. If she wasn't then that is: a) just her character, I can't judge without knowing her or b) it is suspicious and she may be cheating on you or planning to. Sorry. Hope the knee gets better soon. Sucks about having to miss Basic Training. |
