It would be nice to be able to cast a Gate spell and then just as the gate opens to shove Nalia through and quickly close the gate again so she ends up in the Abyss, or Baator, or Limbo, or maybe just in Sigil right in the Lady's shadow .

I actually like anomen (or whatever), he just beat up Jon Irenicus on his own. At this stage he has an armour class of -10 and over 120 hit points, which I reckon is good. He can take dragons on his own. Cast summon champion +flail of ages and he really goes to town. + he can heal himself and does some terrible damage with his cleric abilities, he really is the ultimate tank in my team.

erm...sorry Dramnek...but I think that you're mistaken. If Nalia can't cast 9th level spells due to her 17 INT, then why is she casting them in my party now (XP cap remover)?
