Anybody have any ideas about what the three prisoners on Rapax Rift are supposed to do? They seem to have made you go to a bunch of work to open their cells for no apparent gain?

Well, at least there's some stuff in their cells you can pick up

Probably another one of those unfinished quests.

No, thats not part of an unfinished quest. As pyrates mentioned briefly, it's more of a thing to show how powerful, and deadly the Rapax are.

What I got from the Rapax prisoners episode was that not all Rapax ought to be slaughtered on sight.

In addition, it's evidence that the Rapax world is fractious.

But it's a shame that all they aren't recruitable (if you thought Vi whined when you brought her into the Rapax area...), or even redeemable. I ignored them after my first time through the game.

No, their REAL purpose is to make you double back and generate respawns...
