I was thinking we could have a thread dedicated to music here.
Please write down some of your favorite bands/albums here.
I´ll start with some of my own.

Deströyer 666 - Unchain the Wolves (Blackened Death/Thrash Metal)
Infernö - Downtown Hades (Thrash)
Exodus - Bonded by Blood (Thrash)
Deicide - Serpents of the light (Death)
Defleshed - Fast Forward (Death/Thrash)

I´ve got many more but those are my favorites right now

Hmm, a fellow metal fan. I didn't know there were so many around here no point in putting metal on the end of all my albums, i'll just put the style.

Dimmu Borgir - Spiritual Black Dimentions (Black)
Summoning - Stronghold (black)
Dimmu Borgir - Enthrone Darkness Triumphant (black)
Dimmu Borgir - Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia (black)
Dragonforce - Valley of the Damned (power)
Rhapsody - Dawn of Victory (power)
Finntroll - Trollhammaren MCD (folk black)
Finntroll - Midnattens Widunder (folk black)
Manowar - Warriors of the World (heavy/power)
Manowar - Battle Hymns (heavy/power)

Just a few of my current.

Why is it that music lovers seem to revel in obscurity these days? Whenever I meet a real fan, they never list anything I've even vaguely heard of (see above). Don't mind me, I'll bugger off now...

What I listen to greatly changes with my mood. I might sometimes be in the mood to listen to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack, at other times I might listen to much heavier stuff. And then there are some much softer songs I might listen to at times because they bring back good memories. (like Aventura - Obsesion, which I heard a lot while on an awesome holiday in Spain)

At the moment my favourite albums are:

Evergrey: The Inner Circle (progressive dark metal (dark in subject, not music))
Pagan's Mind: Infinity Divine (progressive metal)
Ayreon: The Human Experiment (progressive rock)
Muse: Absolution (rock)

Metallica. Yup, that pretty much covers it.
Well, Greenday's up there, and I enjoy Shinedown, too.

Hm... I love Joan Jett... Meat Loaf.. Enigma.. Dropkick Murphys.. Flogging Molly.. And of course honorable mentions go to Jewel, Green Day, the Dixie Chicks, and The Dresden Dolls. And of course this is where I mention my favorite Broadway shows. Aida, Rent, Wicked, Guys and Dolls, Chicago, and A Shoggoth On The Roof (A Lovecraftian parody of Fiddler).
