When Aerie explains how she was was captured, she states it was because she was trying to save a child from slavers. Does anyone know who the child was? Does he show up in the story anywhere? Just wondering. She does say that he got away. It is a loose end that would be cool to tie back into a later quest.

No, sorry thats a dead end until ToB where some shade brings it up or perhaps not I think its just a conversation about the incident.
