TOAD BLOCKS WAY TO SHINWIKI

PLEASE,
SOMEBODY HELP!
There is a toad who will not move.He is blocking my way to the TOAD
VILLAGE and to see THE SHAMAN,SHINWIKI.I don,t want to kill him because I,ll have all the toads fighting me.

I,ve tried everything and all he says is"GET OUT OF THE WAY".

2 ways, Kill him, or install the patch. I killed him. To make me feel better I only used my Rouge to do damage.

Note(!!): When/if you do kill the toad blocking the way, you have to be able to do it in 1 attack, e.g. Elemental Blast, or he will call out that he is being attacked and all the guards will not like you anymore. (You might want to make a save just before you attack and, if using something like EB, stand a little back or get singed

I agree with Sark. I had the same problem and eventually decided the toad blocking my way had to die. However, I also had to kill the Toad that follows you around. But I was able to kill each Toad with one blow so their friends didn't realize what happened. The fewer Toads around when you do this the better. But save the game 1st. I was able to complete Shinwiki's quest for him and get the reward.

Also, one of the Toad rooms was inaccessible to me. I reached the room then I hit an invisible barrier or something which prevented me from getting in the room. Did anybody else have this problem?

Yes, I found a room that had a toad in, that I was not able to enter... it had a bunch of barrels at the back and 2 'troughs' along one side - one at the entrance. I tried many times to get in there but gave up. (Didn't try patching the game to see if I could get in)

Hi Guys!

There are two toads I had trouble passing - the first was "Ekbu" at the toad village entrance. To get past him, you need to visit the your starting village temple and get the priest to give you a quest - "Find (the toad who walks up & down the river constantly) and give him this potion." Once you've done that, go to the village, find Ekbu and say "Ukabu" and he'll let you pass.

In the room with the two trays, line yourself up with the wall so you are facing the gap between the wall and the trays, then jump forwards at a run and you can get into the room without killing the toad there.

There are lots of toads in the village who want you to "Get out of the way" - just turn around, stand in the nearest opening and wait for them to pass. They're only going about their business and there's really no need to kill any of them.

Susan is right.

The first toad is Ekbu and you don't want to kill him. You need to find Mikawa (he's close to the windmill West of Valeia) and he'll ask you if you need to know who "Ukabu" is. Just say yes and you get the speech. BTW: you don't need the Priest Guild quest to get to him.

The second toad is usually in the underwater passageway. If he blocks your way to Shimwiki, you can kill him. Just make sure that he dies in 1 quick strike (meteor strike works great [img]smile.gif[/img] ).
