Why? Did you not notice the smilies in both posts. I've known johnny for some time now. I don't think he'll object to my nitpicking.
Not at all, carry on.

Nice one Chewwy!

Didn't realise that Alaska was so progressive. Been an occasional toker myself for all my adult life. Never found the need for anything harder, so the "slippery slope" has always been a load of rubbish in my opinion. Agree though that booze causes more problems. Doubt there would be much in the way of war if the entire world had a puff every now and then.

I have been making this exact same argument for more than 10 years. If fact, I also take this one step further: if our government were to control/regulate the distribution and sale of all substances currently defined as an "illegal narcotic" then they could not only reduce crime, but decrease deaths due to poor-quality drugs and make a tidy profit. It would partially solve three problems at one.

I know -- none of the tank commanders or aircraft pilots would be able to find their keys, so they couldn't even get their war machines running.

How convenient that the personal garden results in just about the right amount of harvest to fit right under the federali law.

Note, in Alaska or elsewhere, IIRC, 8 oz (1/2 pound) is a federal felony. (The law may have changed since I last looked.)

Marijuana probably won't be legalised, but I don't think it should be treated as harshly as it is. It won't kill anyone, so I think it should be treated about as harshly as underage drinking. DUI rules and such should apply. There are too many people in jail with lives partly or mostly ruined by overly harsh laws on drug use.

Sure legalise it, I don't smoke it, never tried it either but a lot of my friends do.

Doesn't harm anyone, and it smells nicer then cigarette smoke.
