There is a museum in Queens that does the Avant Guard kinda thing. This exhibit, until the end of August, is a beach - complete with sand and waves - located indoors. They have performances by bands and DJs and all sorts of other things.

Thought this was a COOL idea.

Its an interesting concept to be sure. I wonder how the artists feel about it...like would they spend a few months working on pieces specfically for the beach setting? Or if not then how would their stuff that they had done fit in on the beach?..might get mixed reaction on somethings i could imagine.. But then so to is the whole exhibit, with the setting and all, a giant work of art in itself and thats impressive. I just want to pee in the water and call it avant garde
