Donna was clearing out weeds and touched some weed that is prickly.. I remember it was called fire weed or something.. It's in Florida.

Any Ideas? And how to make it stop stinging?

The only solution I can give you is to get a prosthetic hand, other than that I have no clue

well, does it appear to be like she burned it or an allergic reaction? Does it itch?

The only spikey weed that springs to mind (brain not functioning properly) is Thistles.
There are different types, so there might be one which is somewhat an irritant.

Let her keep her hand in very cold water for a while, that should take the burning sensation out. Or put some ice on it.

You're not talking about poison ivy, are you ?

Stinging Nettles Mayhaps?

Usually Dock leaves grow nearby, cover the stings with dock leaves for some alleviation. Though doubtless the drug store has better remedies.

My wife recommends Benadryl. Sounds like she either suffered an allergic reaction or the plant has some type of oil that causes localized reaction. In either case, Benadryl should relieve her symptoms.

Look for it in the drug store in the "anti-itch creme" section.
