If the previews say its brilliant it generally is. But you have to like the genre though.

Brilliant it is indeed. Personally I'm a two-faced guy. Whenever I get bored of BattleTech, I go back to my D&D obsession, whenever something new comes out in MechWarrior computer world, I got there for a while hehehe. So yeah, you have to like the genre. MG2 is far far far more futuristic than Wizards and Paladins...

The game is awesome. I've rented it a couple of times, haven't bought it yet. The worst part about renting is you never get the instruction manual. I spent the first full day figuring out diferrent button combos. The graphics are nice and the game runs smoothly.

'Course game goes smooth, its for PS2 (or is it out for PC also?). I am also two-faced. I play Ghost Recon and all those sims when i suddenly felt like going back to D&D.

What are these Metal Gear games? I've heard them mentioned, just never played them myself, FPS games?

Neb i think you should look for MGS on the web cos its fun, but a bit short. MGS2 looks great, but i dont really like the look of Raiden or whatever his name is.

I have MGS1 on PS, but I downloaded it for free off the web. It is just missing some demo's, so no good for a first time player.
