Change to Ranger - when??

Gidday, I have a barbarian I am thinking of changing to a ranger. I have just about finished the snake temple - without spoiling me to much am I too early in the game to make some good money from the arrow trick with a ranger.

It depends. What do you want exactly?

1. You want a ranger in your party: Then don't hesitate and switch to a ranger.

2. You want the Fletchery trait and (maybe) the Vine magic. You don't see any other particular reason for a Ranger: You are right. Ranger is the weakest warrior among warrior classes. His only advantages are the trait and the magic school.
- IIRC, the Fletchery trait is a Warrior Guild level 5 trait. The guild level 5 is far away. You have to reach Stout Mines first. It's too early for switching to a Ranger NOW - unless you want the Vine Magic, too, and you have a big party (your Ranger needs to gain some levels so as he can gain the wanted spells). If you want only the trait then plan your career differently and switch to a ranger after gaining guild level 5.
- You can make preparations for the role changing now. Pretend to take the promotion quest, kill the raptor, give the eggs to somebody else and cancel the ranger training. You will be able to train for a Ranger again later and finish the training immediately because you will already have the eggs.
- Note: Naturally, it's the future Ranger who will need to be guild level 5.

Hi Radek, thanks for your info - yes its more the fletchery trait I am after. I thought it may be too early.

OR, you can go after the vine school of magic! the vine magic has some spells that are really WOW [img]graemlins/wow.gif[/img] !!! like the whirling devrish and the vine of life, but u muz lvl up quite a bit b4 gaining access to these wonderful spells, i suggest that u wait for a while 1st
