Kangaxx and Equalizer questions

Could anyone tell me how to initiate the Kangaxx quest and what to do with the gold torso and gold arms and legs to do the Kangaxx quest? I take it, Kangaxx has something to do with the Crooked Rune group (beholders and liches I believe) in the Bridge District? You need a Rogue Stone to open the door and you get portalled into a room with a Bleepload of baddies?

Also, where does one get all the pieces for the Equalizer, I have the pommel stone, and I believe I got the blade for it, but never the hilt.

These were two parts of the game I never found and would like to know about.

As far as I remember, the hilt is on the table near your cell in the Ithillid lair in the Underdark.

I think Kangaxx is at the Docks, but thats second hand info. (Near Mae'Vars guild?)

I think that Kangaxx is located to the right of the Bounty Sea Tavern, the door is quite hard to pick lock unless your thief is at a high level so take a knock spell with you.

Kangaxx is one hell of a boss so don't be dissapointed if you lose several times to him. The responses on this forum should help you out and may Mystra be with you............

I think I've got a glitch - I've managed to beat Kangaxx a few times, but when I do the screen goes to the cutscene mode (ie no command/character bars) and nothing happens.. I reloaded and tried again (died) so tried once more and once again, it froze...

Has this happened to anyone else / Does anyone know a way around this? Thanx in advance!

It sounds like he has imprisoned your main character, with the 9th level spell. You are then stuck on a remote asteroid .If he imprisons any of your team, they disappear from the game and sidebar until you cast freedom. However if its you, its game over. To protect yourself use a protection from Magic scroll or undead. Spell immunity abjuration also works. Don't cast protection from undead until he dies the first time and reforms as a floating skull, or else a bug kicks in.

Old Kangy will keep casting imprisonment if u r meleeing him, but the imprisonment doesn't work against a wizards eye so when u kill him the first time make sure the eye is closest to him and highlight the entire melee group including the eye and click the attack icon, attack the demi lich and the dumd ass will keep casting imprisons until he dies
