Hi,

I'm playing through baldurs now for the second time with my sorcerer - his experience is now around 12 million odd but, of course, he doesn't go up levels anymore (i haven't removed the xp cap so the charcter info screen says 8,000,000). Now, when i play through the game again, if i had a dual classsed character, would their xp be limited to 4,000,000 in each class or would i, eventually!, reach 8,000,000 in both classes?

cheers for any help you can offer!

With the EXPcap off you can reach up to levels 40 and above but without the EXP cap your EXP is limited to only 4,000,000 each

cheers for that - i think i won't cheat then and remove the limit.

would i be okay dual classing at say 3,500,000 exp in my first class before moving onto starting the second? i know i'd have to wait ages to get the use of my first classes powers but i want to create a character who is really good in both classes y'see.

cheers!

It depends on what class you are, IMHO the best duel class/multi class is the Fighter/Mage (Elf and Human. I think you should go with a Multi class Elven Fighter/Mage

i suppose an idea of my class choice would be useful! i was thinking of going for the kensai/mage (i've heard good things about this one y'see) so would i be best doing the wizard class first or second?

cheers for all the help - it's my first time doing this and i want to make sure i'm a bit informed before starting!

though that sounds cool, it will be exceedingly difficult to play through half the game with virtually no experience, compared to the others. My advice would be to get to about 1,000,000 or so in one class, then dual. it won't adversely affect the second class much at all, and you will get most of the useful abilities of the first in enough supply to make no difference. some guy once dualed a 17th level Beserker to a mage. he said he nearly threw his computer out the window on various occasions. just a warning.
