I have come across far too many postings on the net concerning SecuRom 7 and their trouble with it after installing NWN2 (FEAR has this copy protection). The official forums over at BioWare have several threads dedicated to the issues that have arisen due to this copy protection.
Anyone here have issues with SecuRom 7? Sony insists it is not a rootkit but a full uninstalling of the game will not remove SecuRom 7. |

No issues here really. If you have any emulation software in use such as Daemon it will insist that these be removed before the game starts (which is a pain if you use a virtual third drive), but otherwise it doesn't cause problems. The game itself takes awhile to start up, which I think is the copy protection check that is taking up most of the time.

No, I have not had any problems with securom. The only problem that I have had is after playing for a while I have to defrag my hard drive.
