Hi!!
I was just wondering if their are any decent Scimatars lying around in the game? I'm a fighter/mage with proficincies in two hand style long sword and 2 stars for scimatar, you see I'm soon to level up and I wondering if I should bother adding one more to the scimatar or add to longsword. I don't need to know where they are, I just wanna know if there there. Thanks to you all in advance

Umm that statement about a +5 scimitar is a bit misleading. That is in the expansion ToB. There are not alot of good scimitars in SoA...

About 80% through SOA you will be able to KILL or STEAL from Dritz, but you must be of good alignment to use the scimitars (or have TOB installed and be thief that has over 3.3 mil. exp. points and has chosen the special ability "use any item".

Alternativly, there is an excellent scimitar for dual wielding called Belm +2 (it's excellent because it gives you an extra attack per round - equip in this in your shield slot), also there is a +3 scimitar called the Waters Edge.

If you have TOB installed you can go to the Watchers Keep and TRY to get the upgradable Scimitar that is really cool (however it isn't upgadable untill you get into TOB itself, but it is either +3 or +4 before it is upgraded).

extra: a kensai druid using the belm & another scimitar can be a VERY deadly combination.

ScottG,

so you have to do something evil like kill Drizzt to get his weapons but be of good alignment to use them? That's a bit out of character, don't you think?

sadly, this is epidemic. there was a recent post of someone playing a paladin who killed drizzt as well. with imaginations that tiny, perhaps bioware will make bg4 for the playstation and get rid of all that unnecessary "role-playing" crap
