I just got and installed HOW today, and was amazed to see that everything seems to have shrunk slightly - due to the improved resolution no doubt. But everything is now sharper-edged and you can see things in better detail. I have installed it whilst in mid-game, so shall be interested to see the other improvements. I've had a look at the new portraits, though. Some of 'em are very nice

It's worth it, though the adventure itself feels a bit lacking in size and the free downloadable expansion will fix that. Still, it interweaves with the main storyline pretty nicely and the graphic improvements rock. Love the alt key. The new voices are nice as well. HoF mode adds an extra level of difficulty, making fights that would be cake tough again as well as providing enough xp to get to level 30. Some very nice items as well.
My only real complaint is the amount of xp given for a few of the quests. Bit too much for quests that are basically things a level 1 can do. But they did that so that you can make a few more levels. |
