In NWN, Chapter 2
MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS. . . . . . .. . . . . There are five books you have to get. the tome of resonance says mix --such and such-- and --such and such-- and cast the spell lightning bolt. Erm.... it doesn't work. nothing happenes Am I meant to cast a different spell or something? Cheers. DS

Those books are recipes, but there are only certain places that will work, if I remember correctly. There are some chests or magic workshops in some selected (I forget which ones)magic shoppes. You have to put the correct ingredients in the chest or device, then cast the correct spell on it. Then you retrieve what ever magic object was created from the chest or device. I played as a non-spell caster, a monk, so was not able to try it, though.

For me (I Think) It worked by doing it on a alchemist's appartus (That sounded Kinky... [img]graemlins/blush.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/blush.gif[/img] )

Bithron, I don't know for sure if there's any place in the OC where you can "do it" on an alchemist's apparatus (I've never gotten past chapter 2), but in the case Dragonshadow asked about (the "Five Tomes of Imaskar" quest), you have to "do it" on a chest. The chest in the magic lady's laboratory to be precise. Just follow Witchdoctor's instructions and you'll be grand.
