My God, it's been a while. (Since when did the SoA and ToB fora merge, anyway? I guess when everyone got too busy playing NWN to care. )

It's good to know that Ironworks and PPG still exist. Kinda surprised that G3 released a tweakpack that included the best from many mods. See how long it's been since I've played or even written (or discussed) fanfic?

Spoilers ahead...

I've hooked my roommates on SoA, and started playing again myself. Wound up in the planar sphere, solved Valygar's quest, but talked to the Knights of Solamnia after returning the sphere to Athkatla but before finishing things with Lavok, and they just walked offscreen. I've tried talking to both Ribald and everyone at the Radiant Heart and they don't care. Did I blow it with them?

You can only help them if you are a mage or a sorceror and have the sphere as your stronghold.

And good to see you Pirengle!

Well, that's not fair. If you have LG Anomen/Keldorn in your party, they should be able to suggest the Radiant Heart, or if you have Mazzy or Jaheria in your party, they should be able to suggest Ribald. Those knights deserve a home no matter what your class.

Pirengle! I've missed you!

As ZFR said, returning the Knights to their home plane is part of the stronghold. No stronghold, no returning the Knights.

I've missed you guys too. I found out from PPG that JC and Weimer have their own CRPG in the works. That was an eye-opener.

Don't tell me Six is gone. Please don't. Or Dundee.

Dundee still moderates. Six is here only occasionally. He's modding now, and was involved in the BG1 Unfinished Business mod. Six may be hanging out at the mod sites more than here nowadays.

: highfives Pirengle :

Well, I'm not exactly modding as such, yet, just sitting in on the discussions and making up crazy things to do. But I hope to join their number sooner rather than later. My time will come. And now I'll shut up before I burst into song.

:highfive:

Modding is a fun pasttime. Someday, I will actually make something that modifies an Infinity Engine game and make it work correctly.

I believe that the Quest Pack Mod (available at Pocket Plane) allows anyone to send home those knights. I have the mod installed for the first time now (although my PC is a mage currently. I DID recieve the "send the knights home" quest twice, though, so I'm guessing it works.)
