Hey!
Did anyone try to kill Erathsmedor out in the Shire, before his home?
Is it possible to finish the game doing this? Will he apear again in his home to give the Mavin?

This topic was discussed on this forum long time ago
several times (use search facilities).

The main point is that if you kill
Eratsmedor you will be killed by our
beloved Moderator Wyvern (as she explained the dragons
are close relatives of her) or worse she will be offended
on you. And quite rightly so !!!

Later in the game, on the great desert, not far
away from Cet's piramid you will encounter red flying dragons
which apparently ARE NOT her relatives.
They will attack, and there is no other option
but to fight them (icestorm spell or meteor storm
seem to work the best).
Happy gaming.

KRI

No I haven't I was too busy running away from him...

he really roasted my butt!
then after I gave him the stuff, the 'magic word', and the sword.
so I thought I'll give it a try....

needless to say, he had me for lunch....
he's a tough old lizard!!

BTW, WELCOME TO THE W&W BOARD KRI!!

I wouldn't dare to offend our beloved Moderator Wyvern.

I just thought that if I kill Eratsmedor before his home he will reborn and all will be satisfied (Eratsmedor will have a new – probably better life, Wyv will still have her favourite relative and I will gain a looooot of EXP).

But now I think I let the Dragon live his current life. I even try to find some sheep to fed him, or maybe even a virgin...

KRI,

Curiouser and curiouser said Alice - your post suggests that you obviously know a fair bit about the history of the forum, and our beloved moderator Wyvern. This seems at odds with your very small total of posts (3??). Are you one of the very early gurus, now returning under a different nom de plume?

These pretzels are making me thirsty, but at least were not in Kansas anymore Toto .

Dear Davros,

I am old fun of this forum (but definitely not "guru-like")
I did plenty of reading and searching through the archives
(to get some spoilers) but in general I did not participate
in the discussions. The 2 or 3 posts I submitted were
done "on a sudden impulse" and do not signall
the beginning of my new "plenty of writing" activity.

Let me explain myself:
The forum is definitely dominated by younger people
and too old gamers (like myself) do not fit too well.
(If I simply say that when I was physics postdoc I was playing
"brand new" and first of the RPG class --
Wizardry I on the Apple Ie computer, then you will already
know what I mean...). Still this does not mean that I
do not enjoy RPG even now (very refreshing !!!).
Also I like RPG community and I like
very much the chatter which is going on this forum.

So I remain,
Yours KRI
(the silent member of W&W forum),

PS.
KRI
(KRI ==> "kri-otronic robot....";
compare very old sf stories (60-ties);
for example the "storytales of robots" by LEM

Welcome then KRI,

You may be surprised at the age groupings here then - I think your right that "the crowd" has got younger in the last couple of months. However, of the 10 to 12 people that I met and keep in touch with from this forum, I am quite often the youngest at age 37 (OK, Alicat usually takes my title of "cute chat baby" whenever she turns up - can't give out her age though - itwouldn't be gentlemanly ).

When I first saw your post, I actually had the suspicion that you might be the long lost Guru (and friend to Wyverns) Regis - strange, but I notice that after a lengthy absence, he just re-joined yesterday and has posted to the "get well soon Wyv" thread. That will help raise the average age back up again .

Welcome to posting on the board, KRI!!!

We've quite a few "older gamers" frequenting this board. The younger ones tend to swoop in for a while and disappear after they have won the game or had their immediate problem solved.
I should push the "useless poll" thread back up and see what sort of averages we get these days.

Re: Red Dragons - there are good dragons and there are bad dragons, the red dragons fall into the later catagory whereas Erathsmedor does not. I like him, what can I say??

BlackAssassin - a Wyvern is a type of dragon, generally depicted as having no forearms.
